Sue Lee Loy, a resident of Panaewa Agricultural Lots, has announced her candidacy for Hawaii County Council District 3.

In a press release issued Thursday, Lee Loy, whose occupation involves planning and legal support, said she will launch her campaign Thursday at the AJA Veterans Hall, 361 Haihai St. The event runs from 5-8 p.m.

“Planning for the future helps us address challenging issues of our aging infrastructure,” Lee Loy said. “It’s going to take someone with the know-how to make the right decisions for the entire county and the residents in Council District 3.”

The Hilo district is represented by Dennis “Fresh” Onishi, who is term-limited.
